The Pond-Redefine Your Focus to See Changes in Your Life

The following is channeled material:

There once was a group of people who sat around looking upon a pond. The pond was completely still with just a few fish jumping out of the water once in awhile. This was the only movement that could be seen from this point. The pond was surrounded by a flat area of Grass, a Valley and distant hills with trees. Despite the landscape that was further away and possibly more interesting, the people were enamored only by the pond.  They gave no notice to the rest of the landscape. They just looked at the pond for hours and hours and days and days on end. They gave no notice to the rest of the world that surrounded them. They had no idea that there was more to see and furthermore, they did not really even care.

One day a baby of about 11 months old was crawling toward the pond, slowly but surely. The baby had its eye on the pond and was crawling quite quickly. The parents grew aware that their baby was going towards the pond and were afraid that the baby would fall into it. So they rushed ahead and grabbed the baby up and everyone that was staring at the pond was greatly relieved that the baby was back and safe. The baby screamed and cried and tried to wriggle out of his father’s arms so that he may return to the ground and continue his crawl toward the pond. But the parents would not let the baby down to explore. The baby was forced to return to the circle of people who sat around the pond for hours and hours and days and days on end, just looking at it and pondering and waiting for something more to happen. They wanted to see more action and even though they had been watching for hours and hours and days on end and nothing more was ever happening except for a random fish jumping, they still did not go to any other area to explore and investigate.

The behavior of these people reflects the behavior of the people in your current Society. While we were describing them, you saw them as a kind of insane. Didn’t you? You saw that what they were doing was kind of pointless. You saw that what they were doing was kind of illogical. And yes, their actions and their behavior reflect the actions and the behaviors of people in your current Society. How is this possible, you ask? It is possible because you’re all acting in the same way. Instead of exploring the different, best and most beautiful Landscapes that are within you, you all sit around and look at the pond. You are adamant that if you stare at the pond for long enough you will see something wonderful. You will see something amazing. You will see something that will blind you, blowing your mind so much that your whole life will change. And yet you wait and you wait and you wait and when this does not happen, what do you do about it? You continue to stare at the pond.

So you’re saying that you don’t sit around staring at a pond. Well this may be true. But we aren’t really talking about the real things that you’re staring at and giving your focus to every day. The pond is a metaphor. The pond is a metaphor for society and the goings-on in your current Society. The Pond represents many things. The Pond is the polarity of good versus bad. The Pond is the Us versus Them mentality. The Pond is the media. The Pond is a propaganda machine that you’re all victims of. The pond is corporations that are selling you everything that you think your heart desires. All of you have put your focus on this metaphorical pond and this pond has distracted you from all the wonderful things that you could be doing in your life. And yet you don’t even realize this. You continue to revolve your life around this pond. There is no expansion of your mind. You are satisfied sitting around concentrating on what is being fed to you. You are satisfied supposedly by just looking at this Pond of capitalism, of propaganda, of goods and services that you don’t really need. You seek the answers there. You seek satisfaction there. And yet within you there is dissatisfaction. And what do you know about this? What are you going to do about this? Are you going to continue to stare at the pond? When one of your young people crawls toward the pond to investigate it more closely and perhaps realize that there isn’t so much to see and that they possibly would want to crawl away even further than the pond and not look at the pond anymore, you prevent them from doing this. You grab them up and you say no, you cannot approach the pond and examine it more closely and actually realize that there’s nothing more really there to see.

And if as a small child with a still Open Mind you would possibly Venture even further and crawl around the pond and go down to the valley and then up the hill to see what’s beyond, your elders and peers would not let you. Your elders and peers would not let you because supposedly they are protecting you. They are protecting you from hurting yourself. They are protecting you from coming to possible harm. They all genuinely believe this and are concerned for you. They are worried about you sincerely. They love you and they want to protect you. But what your elders and peers fail to see is that they are not protecting you in the right way by keeping you from exploring and looking at other things other than what is being fed to you by your Society. They are actually imprisoning you. They are actually preventing you from exploring and seeing what is really going on. They are actually preventing you from expansion. They are actually keeping you a prisoner. They’re actually stealing your freedom away from you, even though they think that they are protecting you with their love.  But their love is a conditional kind of love that also has the purpose of protecting themselves. For everyone feels fear and one of the greatest fears that a human can feel is being faced with the fact that something they believed in is untrue.  That something that they put all of their energy into was not worth it because it was a lie, because it was not as they believed.  The realization of such a thing is so painful to humans that the vast majority of them will refuse to see the truth even if it is right before them.  They will go into full denial, so much so that they will be unable to see the truth.  They will do this because the familiar feels much more comfortable. If all they believed in and strived for proves to be useless, then what of the story they have told themselves? About how accomplished they are. About how they did everything exactly how they were supposed to. Or the other side of the coin. How they did everything wrong. Of how they supposedly did everything wrong in life and still haven’t got it together and feel like huge failures. What of them? Will they believe it when they are presented with the truth that those that did everything right are loved no more than those who perceive that they did everything wrong? Will they believe the truth that no matter what, they are loved and accepted just as much as those that think they did everything right because they followed all the societal norms and expectations?  These supposed failures will have a hard time believing this because they have not started practicing self forgiveness and self love. And the ones who feel successful may look to be so outwardly but this might not be the case inwardly so they must look within to this.

Do you feel like a success or do you feel like a failure? Whichever you believe yourself to be, know that you are Loved and Accepted and Embraced no matter what you have done, no matter what you feel guilty about, no matter your perceived shortcomings. Go forth in your life and do better. Stop looking at The Pond. Step by step move away from it. Little by little, go out further away from the pond and explore. Follow the Light within you and you will be delivered back to the vibration of Love from whence you came. The Pond is not the answer.
